You need to get into the pain, feel the pain, get uncomfortable and expand yourself if you want to succeed. Most people feel the pain and back off and repeat it over and over, that's called 'average', don't be just average!

On April 12th, I had a complete rupture of my patellar tendon, destroyed knee capsule, ripped my IT band and ruptured the medial patellofemoral ligament of my left knee. They say the come back from this injury is 12 months, I'm about to prove them wrong.

The greater you want to be, the greater the obstacles in front of you. Climb over one wall only to be facing another wall they you have to knock down. But, if you remember this, you can indeed become great.

On April 12th, my left knee literally exploded while playing basketball. The official injury: ruptured left patellar tendon (snapped in half both ways, didn't just come off the bone), destroyed knee capsule, torn patellofemoral ligament and torn IT band. Here, you will see me in the gym 3 weeks after surgery and trying some of the recommended pre-PT exercises.

You get complacent in two ways. You either get so much better than your competition that you start slacking off a bit (more rare version) or you are smacked in the face, knocked to the ground in life and you decide it would be easier to continue to backslide. Either way, if it happens, you are finished.

The Doc told me it was okay to workout upper body. A little hard to do in a wheel chair, but I am making it happen. I am obviously very weak as I am pretty much on bed rest (as much as possible for me) and my body is trying to heal. Nonetheless, the workouts invigorate me even if they are just a shell of my normal workouts.
